Fall freely

I couldn’t continue.

The responsibility of life weighing at my shoulders.

I was young, falling back into the pressure,

But I felt a hand,

Reaching for me, and only me.

As I grabbed the hand I felt myself being able to breathe again.

Little by little they pulled me forward.

Making my way through high school.

Gripping their hand as hard as I can,

I allowed them to walk with me throughout my journey

But my biggest fear was about to become true.

I would have to let go of them, and fall freely into my future,

But because of them,

I am ready.
