I walked with my head down

Noticing every crack in the ground

In order to keep from falling.

I walked like that for years

Until the day I looked to hard at the ground

And ran right into you.

You had piercing blue eyes

And a laugh that made me smile,

I should have known then that I was falling.

I don't walk with my head down,

not anymore. I hold my head high.

I realized falling on the ground

was not what I really feared.

I have fallen for you in every way

and it's not as scary as I imagined,

this engulfing feeling of love.
