Family

Their Eyes  like fire that burn like hell.

So the bright she still has trouble looking directly into people's eyes on the pretense that she might ignite.

The comments turned a little girl into an internal battle of emotion.

She the prey, them the predator.

Everything she loved about herself they turn it into an insecurity.

The pain is gone no longer the knife that keeps twisting.

She fires sarcasm that cuts like a blade right down the center of her predators.

A personality that welcomes no one not even herself.

Internal scars so deep you can see the bone.

She can no longer stand because of her never ending fear of falling.

They kicked her in the dirt but it was her choice to stay on the ground.
