The Famous Letter P

P belonged to palaces
The place of Princes and Princesses
They gave way to democracy
Bringing polls that chose the
Power and the Presidents
It belonged to the Pirates, to Patriots, to Patriarchs
Within its compound in the dictionary rises
The pickpocket, peephole, and the piggyback ride
Patience was part of P's reality- the P peaked
And performed, it persuaded, and proposed
No person was positively sure where it had
Prospered from, but it had rambled with the F-
To Phoenicians, to Pharaohs, to Philosophers
The Semitic name for the P is the mouth Pe
Related to an ancient mummification ritual
Known as the opening of the mouth,
Ptah and Beta. Sound pronounced like each other
P&B share Egyptian connection
P has much to be proud of, from P&R
P traveled to the Phoenician Pe,
to the Greeks Pi, to the Romans Pe.
Presently, these days the letter positions as
What the teenager called the P face- Its tongue sticking out
P belong to paintings and patterns of art – Famous painters
Pablo Picasso and Piet Mondrian
And sometimes when you pass a painting
placed in the exhibit for display, You see P's past
History demonstrated in the art- The Petard explosion,
persecution of people, patriotic society, the pennant
the palace, princes on the pandemonium, the spread of pox,
powder, policies, pots and pans used in everyday life-
All Creates the vision of the past.
It brought Pride and Peace to your life!
