Father

Location

My heart trembles and quivers.

Happy memories file up to the surface of black ocean water

Where is my island of paradise?

As I slowly drown in all my doubts and negativity,

Where you are when I need to be reinsured?

That everything will be okay,

Is that just a distant dream?

I’ll leave the nest to migrate south,

To warmer waters,

To reinsure myself.

But where are you to help me?

You leave my battered wings for me to fall on the ground.

But I can still see the bright future of tomorrow ahead.

I have to battle with the fear of the unknown ahead of me.

Those comforting words that I want to hear from you is provided by someone else.

If you won’t help me,

Then I’ll just help myself.

In the end,

Do not complain.
