Father

Waking up to little smiles,

Dressing her in purple and pink,

Hair goes up in crazy styles,

She'll grow up faster than you think,

Breakfast made and set by the chair,

She eats it fast and silly,

its on her clothes and in her hair,

change her into something frilly ,

Buckle her  tight into her seat,

Being careful about the music that she hears,

Leaving daycare, trying to be descreet,

She runs to you will eyes full of tears,

While saying goodbye and closing the door

You know she'll calm down,

This has happened before,

Soon she won't even have a frown,

When coming home she's the first thing you see,

Her arms stretched out and running fast,

She laughs and is so full of glee,

Her daddy's back at last!

After dinner you put her to bed ,

And read her favorite book ,

You kiss her lightly on the head,

She’s asleep before you look,

Remember how sweet it is to see her sleep,

As she lies there a quiet as doves,

These memories are so precious to keep,

She dreams of you, Her daddy, she loves.
