Fear That Fights Back

There is no escape.

It looms over you

As if you’re it’s prey.

It looks at you with no regrets,

Casting a dark shadow on your life.

The room gets small and cold,

Nothing left to do but sharp quick breaths.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Nothing left to do but breath.

Standing is shakey,

The mind a mess.

It spins the room hoping you fall to it.

Hoping to make you it’s next victim.

Nothing left to do but panic.

Staring at it,

Confronting it,

That’s one of the scariest things you’ll do.

Taunting it,

Overcoming it,

You take down the fear.

Nothing left to do but say goodbye to Anxiety for a while.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Inhale.

Exhale.
