Fear The Ruler

Fear rules my life
All day and all night
I hide behind shrouds of smiles and laughter
But inside the only thing that matters, is that
Fear rules my life

Fear rules my life
Not knowing what the future holds
When life is a game and the cards all fold
When no one knows how you really feel
Because when they ask your lips stay sealed
Not knowing what will come next
So afraid, all you do is stress
And so I say
In and out, everyday
Fear rules my life

Fear rules my life
Hoping that nobody sees
How afraid you really can be
How terrified
Horrified
You are to let your true colors show
They will never know
That fear rules my life

Fear rules my life
And every aspect of it
Never being the you that you know you are because of it
Hiding from judgment that is nonexistent
When fear terrorizes you and its efforts are persistent
Hiding behind the veil of lies
Contacts of illusions so no one sees the fear in your eyes
Wanting to abolish your constant disguise
That fear rules your life
