The Feeling and Sound of Music

Tue, 07/08/2014 - 12:10 -- Upendi

Location

While the strings ring with wonder

The Trumpets sounds of thunder

The drum beat matches my heart

The feeling of heat makes the music start

The rhythm of the streets just beneath my feet

A duet begins

an oboe glides with the notes

while the flute flutters off the page

as the trombone slides through the scales

The bells “Ting” in tune flying with wing like an angel

The silence of a voice ringing in my ears

A saxophones flowing voice sings a harmony

While the clarinet begins the melody; not to be left alone

The piano holds it’s cords only enough to discover a new one; now marvelously together

The emotions of the melody vibrates through my fingers
