Fenrir, Fallen Friend and the Fangs of Life

Thu, 10/17/2019 - 17:15 -- Noahx42

In the night sky, the moon hangs Her solemn head,

Which consumes the land in silvery dread.

Apprehension fills the air, as Fenrir watches in his despair

Light descends over his scarred face, revealing rugged beauty in Night's embrace

O, Luna, the light which you bring is naught but an illusion,

Shown to me now is the revelation of my delusions.

I, Fenrir, have lost more than you could know,

Because in my great excursions, wrath had tempted me so.

Yet here I am.

Before you I stand, and I cannot break

Because all you have given me, I could not take.

You laid your life before mine, and in the aftermath it was I who died.

Yet there you are in the night sky, while I am here still alive.

Forgive me for my sins, for I could not save you from the wrath within.
