fighting dragons and drinking coffee.

i want my head to be the sheet that

covers your bare shoulder when the nightmare wakes you.

i want my lips to be your alarm clock and your lullaby.

i want to be your dream catcher; to fight the demons and dragons and scary thoughts:

the thoughts that make you afraid to get out of bed

when it’s 6 am and you have to face the world again.

i want to be your morning cup of endorphins.

Who needs coffee when you’ve got kisses?

Darling, you’re not the best at sleeping.

and i think it’s because you’ve been doing it wrong:

alone.

Let me be your blanket

and your morning kisses

and your nighttime songbird

and your dream catcher

and your cup of coffee-kisses.

Please, let’s not sleep alone anymore…

because.. well.

i can’t fight Your dragons from My bed.
