Finding my self through imperfection.

As New Years day came, the words "new beginnings" engraved my soul.

I was tired of playing games, and from us taking it slow.

I made my decision, i was moving to miami, cause you had my heart.

Leaving everything i knew, for Love and a fresh start.

Scared, lonely at times, and unsure i conquered what being an adult meant,

It was as if this was the plan heaven sent.

Life was good, and I was happy.

But the things to come next are so crappy.

Betrayed, Hurt, Disappointed by the one you love

As if moving down, and committing wasn't enough

Your actions helped me grow into this person i am becoming

I realized that love is a great thing

But you took from me the love and feeling i had for myself,

By letting you go i was about to learn to Love my self

I took the text books off the bookshelf, determind and eager to grow

This is my life, and i will be in control of this show

Alone, in Miami, Was the motivation it took,

to make me strive for something other then my normal,

and by our imperfect situation, has turned my situation

into something oh so perfect, I will forever be grateful.

Because just when i thought something was PERFECT,

It turned out it wasn't, But it allowed me to create

The PERFECT outcome for Myself, by Finally

Furthering my education, for ME, MYSELF, AND I
it was an illusion of what i thought was perfect

But i understand i was just PERFECTLY comfortable.

At age 22, I decided after getting to know someone in miami, that i started acquiring feelings for,

that i was going to make a risk and move to miami from orlando, While i had no family, friends, or support down there.

This poem is basically saying how i thought everything was picture perfect, Until he started showing true colors,

and continued to disregard my feelings, 2016 turned me into a strong man who realized i didnt need that

I decided, to end it , something that seemed so perfect for a year, in order to focus on me

and by doing that, I am now enrolled into Architecture School, and focused on my future.
