I want to love my imperfections.
I want to let them see the stretch marks on my thighs
And my perfectly messy bed head
And I never ever ever want to apologize for getting the words wrong.
I want to trip in the hallway
And lock my keys in the car
And I want to laugh because it’s kind of fun to mess up sometimes.
I want to be powerful
I want to be kind
I want to be smart
I want to matter to people and I want people to matter to me.
I want to be everything big and small
But mostly big.
And I will do all of these things imperfectly
Because I do not ever want to be flawless.
