Fleeting despair

Location

Disappointment ‘round every corner

Burnt bridges unsafe to venture

No top hats like the frog of Warner

Just utter sadness, until the need for dentures

Pitiful attempts to leave the nest

Many moves, but no hits like a flincher

A list of unfruitful attempts at success

Life between 2 fingers, like a pincher

Ending up only second at best

Left stranded and broken with no hope or ambition

Starring head first at the tails of the rest

To pick myself up and crawl out of this hole

This is ultimately my mission

But despair digs into my spirit; just like a mole

However, I know that greatness has never been free

A little friction is the toll!
