I swore never to cross oceans

For people who can’t jump a puddle for me

It’s a cold world out here

And there’s no mink or even a cuddle for me

Just because life is a movie

Doesn’t mean there are 'true lies'

Maybe oxymorons because

It’s an open secret that this

Open letter won’t close my rights

And my right to live might leave

When people are ready to learn

Respect is not for sale

The only shortcut to it is earning it hun,

Plus bridges are not the only things

Am eager or willing to burn

Because friends are similar to tables

And they often do turn

It didn't feel right when I left a thief in the dark

And he wanted to steal my shine

But he forgot to remember

Come rain or shine am still the light
