Forgivness

Location

Daddy's girl peers inside her box of troubles only to find

an alcohol bottle, full and heavy

growing bigger surely, steady

She sees hands reaching for the cursed bottle

And childrens crying eyes pleading for the hand dawdle

The girl reaches for a piece of paper

And writes down all her troubles later

Then a hand bigger then the rest reaches out

And grabs the little girl and father out

At long last god has come

The words on the paper where her only escape

The feelings she had melted away, with every word on every page

The strong father asks for forgivness

The little girls looks back at her pen and page

And said daddy I have already forgiven you today
