The Forgotten King

The sunsets as the night gives birth to the cursed red moon and the ground quakes as the forbidden kingdom awakes.

The river begins to flow with its red glow as we hail the forgotten king.

The children run and play through the black meadows as the dark fairies awaken.

The chatter of the ancient bone dancers could be heard as we hail the forgotten king.

We labor way as a maiden young and fair came wandering instead of running away.

We helped her search for what she had lost long ago and kept the her hidden.

The foreign princess sings her mesmerizing song as we hail the forgotten king.

The forgotten king’s heart was stolen by the fair maiden and it was declared she would be queen.

At least until we got rid of her and made her the long lost princess as we hail the forgotten king.

The king’s heart broke as she fled due to our hatred towards the maiden whose young and fair.

The king vowed that he would find his love even if he had to destroy everything as we hail the forgotten king.

The king searched far and wide even though he didn’t know why she left his side.

With heavy hearts we came clean as we failed as we hail the forgotten king.

Too far in grief the king weeps for his queen.

In a tomb he lays awaiting his beloved queen to set him free as we hail the forgotten king.

Centuries past the fair maiden came to set the king free.

The forgotten king we hail as we all hail the forgotten king.
