Four Years & Counting

Location

It feels like it was just yesterday,

when we both first laid eyes on each other on the dance floor.

I felt butterflies in my stomach

as you held me close while we

danced the night away.

Ever since that night I knew I fell for you,

and I kept falling for you each and every day all over again

as if my feelings for you were reliving that moment

reminding me that what we have is pure and true as it can be.

This burning love that grows stronger every second of everyday

makes me think about having a future with you

and how wonderful it would be

to grow old with you.

Love is a very strong word

that can bring illusion and heartache to a person.

But when you use it, you just don't go through all the motions like most people.

I can see it in your eyes that you sincerely mean it

with every fiber of your being.

I don't know if we're meant to be together forever

or if this is just a love affair that will end soon.

But you know what? I don't care!

Because I'm going to enjoy every second, every

minute, and every hour of each and every single day

for as long as this fire

between us continues to burn. For,

I fell for you from the start and I know

you feel the same way.
