Freedom? Equality?

America feels distant like a dream you seeFor an African American as dark as meAfraid of the government thugs when I walk my streetsunfair and unjust just check the receiptsThe Constitution gives me rights so often violatedand ever so slowly my race annihilatedStereotypes of each other we just misunderstandThat just like you I came from Gods handlike the animals too who chose to stay awaythe perfect balance exists, we must find the wayThe Land of the free has lost its meaningThe Brave of our home need to start interveningOur Flag is still there, as it will always beBut in the present, FREEDOM is merely a hyperboleExaggerated by those who take it awayOur country must really find its way.
