FRIENDS WITH SILK PAJAMAS

I’ve spat out every single forbidden thing I was told not to do as a child Because it was too american Or un-american Or unladylike And un-me I swallowed every drop of teen rebellion And got drunk on every ounce of its bittersweet taste As well as the alcohol

I’ll tilt my chin down towards my chest And look up at you Pout a little Arms on your knees Kneel down slow And in my silk shorts and matching tank I’ll ask nicely

If I can ruin your life

When i bite into you don’t scream, it just

Ruins the moment.
