My body drifts along tranquil

black waters

I can stretch my fingertips out

and imagine trailing them in the onyx pool beneath me

Maybe I'll feel it stir under my hand

give way

               cradle me

in peaceful liquid ripples

I see the stars from here

surrounding me on all sides

bursts of starlight

          and powder

                    and color

They break apart the dark waters

with their glinting

silver fire

flaunting their

warrior flames into the night

Echoes that do not falter

as they wheel in and out of the patterns of black

I might cry

at the might of all these lovely flames

orbs bobbing along in coal waters

stretching the infinite universe

together

                              together

together.

And I drift with them

floating above black waters

accompanied by the stars

Traversing the universe.
