The Game of Life

Location

I spun a ten.
Let's start again.
What have I seen?
My fleeting heart
it cannot start
beating within.

My childhood's gone.
My friends are dead.
At least the parts I knew,
and my love is moving
far ahead of what I knew
existed.

We grew up too fast.
We grew up too fast.
And now I'm chasing you.
Chasing me.
When will I come to see?
When will we slow down?
Down.

Life isn't a race,
but we've made it one.
I wanna escape, but
I can't lose sight of you.
Lose sight of me.
It's destiny.
The game of life.
