Genetics, genetics, Je t'adore
Locations
A little girl with a book on the playground
Not the easiest kid to be around
But now things have changed and rearranged
Just kidding, I’m involved in the knowledge exchange
Acquired years before, genetics is my game
In fact, once I met a chromosome I was never the same
Because genes change who we are and wish to be
Capabilities predetermined from birth you see
As I sit in class and listen to Literature chatter
I’m dreaming of electrophoresing some matter
Of experiments with beans sprouts and hybridization
Of replication, p53 and recombination
When I look around me all I see are alleles
His family predisposed to medical ordeals
She full of potential from the moment of birth
Dendrites, axons, myelin full of worth
I dream of experimenting and curing cancer
So many venture, yet none can answer
Cancer, the monster that lurks in our DNA
Deteriorates a person into cellular decay
How can I help, this you might ask?
A young, educated, exuberant young lass
I believe I have the passion and dedication
But importantly creativity for new creation
Science is rejuvenated by the youthful mind
Fail to construe uniquely then fall behind
That is my plea, very much pure
