Get away

Nestle by summer trees, the pool doors are open,

The cool air blows in off the pool dispersing the water smell,

rippling sheets of Ryegrass slightly.

White cirrus clouds look down,

As the sparkling waves look up the summer sky.

My all time favorite number hits the Jbl speakers.

Resting my hand on my chin,

from under the red tent, I look across.

Near the pool,

a tall brown girl twists her long black hair into a knot

at the nape of her neck, pins it,

then dives into the pool.

The inflate heart-shape colorful balloons,

tie a knot together and bounce on the pole.

While the smell of food from the open picnic basket drifts in the air.

The cricket threads the silence, at moonless night.

The past happy memories come flooding back

like I was reliving the good old days.
