The Gift of Grace

I must stay home to keep good watch.
For news of a great teacher
a tall King
lingered on the tounges of many.
And while I waited
I saw before them all
a royal Son of God and man come forth
sharing his lifetime
teaching among the assembly of many voices
and healing the broken bodies of any.
I found the young King at a feast.
While he passed bits of food barely a meal
till the mouths of the great crowd
had dropped several basketfuls
of leftover fragments.
As He rose and said
All has come to pass.
Go tell the good news to your children at home
and try to keep them out of trouble.
Now that I know about these matters
our house will always honor His name.
For He has given us reward beyond all others.
