Girl

Cute lil girl from the west
Hardly any chest
But she's a dreamer
She got plans to go to the east side
City pics of the Big Apple
Taped to her wall
One day she'll make it
All those clothes in storage
She can afford to move them out
Settle them in a Manhattan high rise
Where the sun rises
And morning smog makes her feel alive

She's a cute lil girl from the west
Hardly any chest
Barely any booty
Like her cousins in the South
But she got heart
She got street smarts
And urban swag that makes her exotic
To the white kids by the San Francisco Bay
She doesn't tan
She's perfectly kissed like chocolate
With coily hair
And a face like a ray of sunshine with a few freckles for clouds

Cute lil girl from the west
Keep your ambition
The summer always sprouts new love
But summer love won't last forever
I'd hate to see you put your dreams on hold
Only to miss them in the winter
When the love is gone and so is he
Keep your plans of living on the east
Apartments in Midtown
And afternoon walks in 'The Village'
Living your dream is much more promising
I promise you won't be disappointed
