That Girl and her Guitar

All of her life she'd planned for this day

Without fear becoming a problem;

It was the time when adulthood would take her away

To find who she could become.

But fear stole her confidence and left a wide scar,

Wrecking her dreams of success.

It was at this time she picked up her guitar

And solemnly began to strum.

The music, it lifted her trembling heart

And uttered words of advice:

"Don't let doubt consume you before you even start,

For greatness is within you and soon it will come."

Time went on and the girl grew old,

And so did the guitar.

But the music's prediction truly did unfold,

For she had become a star,

That girl and her guitar.
