Girls Can Be Boys #flawless

From the time I began to crawl,

I have never been into playing with Barbie Dolls.

I’m not your average girl

That likes to wear fancy pearls.

I enjoy boy activities like fishing.

Never do I find myself wishing

That I wouldn’t be such a tom boy after all.

I can throw, catch, and kick a ball

And I’d rather do that then go to the mall.

I think it’s important for girls

To be independent and strong.

That is why every day I lift weights

I don’t do it to find myself mates,

Because I don’t need someone to bait

The hook I use to catch a trout.

By going down this route,

I feel confident in who I am.

Even though I’m not girly,

I’m proud of myself, surely.
