Glass

Location

She stared in the mirror wanting more
More of what she lost
The world was mocking her
Cracks formed on the glass of her skin
She ran from the image and fell
Betrayed by her body holding her down
She was a hostage to her own self hatred
She cried her dreams away, locked to her bed

But, one day she felt warmth return to her
She could move
The memories flooded her mind
She leapt to her feet and ran
Ran to her dreams that appeared broken
She repaired the her mirror and smiled
She could felt her love return to her and she danced
Danced until the stars put her to sleep
