Why the water, it seems so lonely

It reaches so far and wide

To cover and shield life beneath

Where does your meaning lie

The waves crash into land

Again, again and again

It will rise, fall, and break

The love it, oh so desires

Bring all the words

You never said

In fear of the ones

Who would just turn their heads

Bring all the burden

That lie in your bed

And lay at the water

That swallows instead

Hey, how do you do

Been a while since me and you

Had a talk, a walk, and a day

To sing it away

Yes I know, my thoughts are safe

There with you, it’s on its way

So please do, the comfort you send

It is due, here to stay

Bring all the words

You never said

In fear of the ones

Who would just turn their heads

Bring all the burden

That lie in your bed

And lay at the water

That swallows instead
