How far will you go

To accomplish your goals?

They say go to college.

Get good grades.

Apply.

So I try.

I apply with hopes high

Only to recieve a rejection letter.

How can it get better?

My heart wept

Sitting around waiting to get accepted

is not what will be attempted.

I am shy.

My home is where I lie.

There comes a time when I must go.

But why so soon in this afternoon of glow?

I do not want to go.

My heart says don't go.

My wallet says take it slow.

But my goals is what keeps me alive.

I will fly high.

I will go far to another state

To complete my fate.
