God Gave you to me

All the selfishness you dealt with/ you help transform me into a man/ Stand on my own two feet/ With the challenges ahead you encouraged me to take a leap/ Thank you mom it was a pleasure i did not have to stumble upon you like some hidden treasure/ God gave you to me/ Mom you reminded me of my roots and told me I should worship him in spirit and truth/ You told me to avoid broad roads keep your eye on the sparrow and take the narrow you said you will be protected from the poisonus arrow/ Thank you mom it was a pleasure I did not have to stumble upon you like some hidden treasure/ God gave you to me/ I see the life you live is not for yourself alone/ You always give out what you did not have/ All the pain from the past I knew it would not last/ When the world makes you think its over you emphasize shouting with joy and praising jehovah/ Thank you mom it was a pleasure I did not have to stumble upon you like some hidden treasure/ God gave you to me/ Even though I did bad you still love me because jesus loved us first/ A woman with admonition like the prophets of old/ take heed to your ways and do not sin/ With an utterance the rebuke was told/ Believe he is with you through thick and thin/ His sacriface on the cross defeated sin/ A provision made for man to have enternal life/ Unlike atlas we have to give up the world's strife/ His yolk is easy and light we are his children so precious in his sight/ Thank you mom it was pleasure I did not have to stumble upon like some hidden treasure God gave you to me

This poem is about my mom and her raising me as a Christian. I am really happy that she has devoted her life to Christ she is a shining example to me and my family.
