Golden Predator

Sun, 10/12/2014 - 16:12 -- divein

You are inescapable
Just as the sun encapsulates the moon
Choking it to the ground

I know what I am made to do
I know what I set out to accomplish

But every now and then you come around
Then I don’t feel as lucky

What was aromatic and lovely before
Has suddenly become intoxicating

Completely engripped by the golden sphere’s orbit
My knees buckle to the ground and

I do not remember what I am made to do
I do not know what I set out to accomplish
