The Good and Bad

I learned that you can pour your heart

And a little bit of your soul,

Change yourself

To what you think is a better version,

Adapt the little ticks that make them unique

Like how they do that little movement after a story,

All for nothing.

Because some relationships are just

Toxic.

You know,

They warn you about your

Significant other being the one who hurts you

But I think when it’s someone you called

A friend

It hurts

Ten

Times

More.

It hurts when everything you do reminds you of them

The good

And the bad.

When you realize how much they know about you

All of your secrets

All your dirty little secrets

And all the not so bad ones

-They know.

You realize how much you had planned

All the stupid little trips you wanted to do

And the little pranks you wanted to pull.

Those years of your life

Gone.

It sucks because I tell myself not to

But I can’t stop myself from being the one to say

I’m sorry.

I’m sorry that I can’t be close to you.

I’m sorry that I led you on.

I’m sorry that I can’t be your punching bag.

I’m sorry.
