Graduation Day

Location

I'm almost done with school

This is my last year

I've dreamt of this my whole life

Now it's finally here

My parents are both sad

I'll be moving out

But when I turn eighteen,

I'll laugh and twist and shout

Sure it will be sad

Maybe I'll even cry

But it's time for me to live my dreams

It's time for me to fly

My family will come and celebrate

We'll laugh and drink and dine

They'll tell me how proud they are

And in college I'll do just fine

I'll thank them all for coming

Each and every one

They'll tell me again how proud they are

And remind me to have fun

I'll reassure them that I'll try

And I'll wave good-bye

And though it's what I've wanted

I might just start to cry
