Graffitied youth

Location

So her body is a ghetto,

Society couldn't handle.

She was left to suffer,

Bite her tongue and sleep

With one eye open and a closed heart.

An eye sore

And tender to the heart.

You refuse to help,  You just wanted to change her.

Bearing down on her back you pushed her down again

But she picks herself up and regains her strength.

A glimmer of hope

You took away

She can't get out unharmed.

Unprotected by her thoughts

She sought comfort through the dark,

the ugly.

She finds comfort behind the blades

Behind the shadows of her past

You told her she wasn’t good enough.

So her body is a ghetto

And her skin is graffitied.

Her heart is blackened

Her mind distraught

When you told her

She had nothing to live for,

She took the hint and lived for nothing

So her body is a ghetto

Rotten from lack of love

Uncared for she took the advice and now ..

Her body is a corpse

Because to you

She was just another graffitied youth.
