Grandma

Grandmother, do I have to do this
I ask my grandmother for the fifth time already.
Girl, get in there and try on those clothes
I keep telling you one day, you will listen to me
I walked into the fitting room
Uggh, I did not like trying on clothes in a public place
I was more of a wing it type person
I tried on the clothes to make sure that they fit
Once I was done, we brought the clothes
Mom, Can I get these pants
My mom shook her head yes
I put pants and more pants into the cart
Okay, let go to the cash register
We checked out and went home
It was my nephew birthday party
I was happy because I can finally put on my new pants
I went into the bathroom to take care of my hygiene
I started to put on my pants and I noticed they were tight at the bottom
“uh oh,” I said to myself
The pants would not go past my thighs
My pants did not fit
I tried on my other pants and they fit the same way.
I cursed myself
My grandmother voice came into my head “I always told you to try your clothes on before you leave the store.”
I felt defeated but I did learn my lesson.
