green sky

If you get up underneath the trees

you might know what I mean

if you look up at their leaves

you'll see the world, in green

If you've been feeling down

its time to look up high

I'd bet last time you saw a leaf

it wasn't in the sky

You have to get down low,

where roots and mushrooms grow

You have to let the tall trees know

you're reading for their show

For when I'm feeling down and low

there's no place else I'd ever go

but to the tall tree's leaf show

to see the green sky glow

Sometimes on accasion

the leaves fall to the persuasion

of the moving air above

It seems that in these instances

all of life's insistences

get lifted up get up and off my chest

they go up high,

yes, above the green sky

the leaves, waving them goodbye
