You cannot choose

stuck in between

black and white

a winter day

a long piece

of charcoal

old movies

dusty shirts

pencil lead

staples in

a stapler

elephants

grandma's hair

the feathers

on an owl

dead flowers

the cover

of a book

pianist's

flying nails

my pillow

the color

of my piece

of duck tape

that seems to

be holding

the shards of

my life all

together

This poem is about:
Me
