Growing Up

Location

Growing up is hard,

And it happens so fast.

One minute you’re carefree in the yard,

The next it seems a lifetime has passed.

Things can’t last forever,

This is a harsh, simple fact,

Some ties must be severed,

While others will be cracked.

A few things will end up for the better,

Others will get a bit worse,

Because childhood is a brief treasure,

And growing up is a curse.
