Growing Up

I once wanted to be a princess. A Disney one to be exact.

I once wanted to rule the world. How ambitious was that.

As a young child, anything was possible. I would bet my front tooth.

But after a while I tasted reality. Even the tooth I bet was loose.

I once wanted a prince charming. One with a lovely smile and dashing looks.

I once wanted a true love's kiss. Something you only ready about in books.

After living in the real world, many would laugh at the childish dreams.

I won't ever give up my wishes, if that's what growing up in society means.
