Growing up

Growing up? Who wants that?

Peter never had anyone to show him the way,

Thinks being a kid is where it’s at.

Now one thing is certain, things are different than just the other day.

Peter sees his world falling round,

Never wanted any responsibilities,

Now time has brought them in the light, waiting to be found,

A chorus of seemingly insensibilities.

Everything is changing

The land, the boys, some force

Even as a lost boy prepares for his hanging,

Marriage (in the metaphorical sense, of course).
