This Half

This half of my bed

Has been crying for you, asking where you've been

and who you've been sleeping on since then

This half of the pillow

Has been complaining about your ways

The way you'd never get up, how you could sleep for days

This half of the blanket

Has been asking about your touch

and why you're not here, and who's been warming you up

This half of my room

Has been quiet for a while

and it told me when you left, how much it craves your smile

This half of my mind

Has been running like a machine

thinking about your lips and who's been on them besides me

This half of my heart

Has been slowly turning black

yearning for your love again, and how it needs you back
