The Happiest Moments

I love the way that the summer breeze feels

Caressing my face with its warm fingers,

The way the ocean waves beckon me near,

And the way its salty fragrance lingers.

I love the midnight mysteriousness

When the stars are littered across the sky,

The autumn leaves crunching beneath my feet,

Watching the birds far over my head fly.

But of all these things, what makes me smile

Is the  love writ upon your gentle face,

Your kisses, so light, your gaze, so steady,

And in your arms is the happiest place.
