Haunting

I left a place so cold and cruel

A place where death was haunting

I came across a vast ocean

So cold and blue and frightening

I swam across to save my life

To keep my soul from dying

But here I came across a land

Where life like mine was thriving

I finally felt that I was free

This land kept me from breaking

The years go by and suddenly

This land is not my home

My trees, been broken

My heart, been stolen

And now my soul must flee

I left a place so cold and cruel

And found my place of wanting

Now I must go and leave my home

A place where death is haunting
