He Loves Me, He Really Loves Me

My heart was one of darkness,
pain all consuming.
Scars standing out,
as if to mock me.

I was delivered a blow I
had been waiting for,
one that was going to shatter me.

But when I was hit,
it didn't hurt as bad
as I thought it would.

And my dear,
it's all because of you.

You turned my heart of darkness
into one that began to let the light
in once again.
