Heartbeat

Location

Caged

Yet I hold the key

Protesting

Yet she's testing me

Oh to be heard!

To allow our voices to carry

Over the highest mountains

Through the lowest valleys

Hearts leaping out of our chests

No! We must not rest!

March. March. March.

What's good for us is worth the fight

Blood, sweat and tears for civil rights

Closed in by a crowd of unfamiliar faces

1968

The same race is towards freedom

Don't you hear us?

Not just our voices

Hear our hearts Lady Liberty!

Hear us and hear us now!

For we are loud and shouting proud!

We will march 'til the heart beating red, white and blue beats no more

This eagle is bound to soar

Shots fired.

Red. Red. Red.

Welcome home to the King

Yes I hear the mourning

But listen as our freedom rings

And without saying a single word

Allow your heartbeat to be heard

As it beats...

Red. White. Blue.
