Hello Again

Location

Hello again, my old friend.
A hair out of place, a flaw to defend.
Why do we do this? Why do we try?
Oh, yes, that’s right.
In this world of give and take,
It’s do or die.

Why do we do this? Why do we wonder why?
Oh, no, we’re all wrong.

Perfection is not something achieved,
But something innate.
Not something we can give,
nor something we can take.
Not something to fight for,
nor something to die for.

Hello, sad eyes, why do you cry?
A pity to try, a pity to wonder why.
You’ve lived,
Looking perfection in the eye.

Perfection is a reflection.
Something we can see,
And something we can reflect.
Something we can hide,
Or something we can project.

Hello, my dear, where have you been?
A smile on your face, look, you’re back again.
