hello, goodbye

hello,

in the backyard of the cherished soil,

where my love always falls flat like

swollen notes i never sent.

comma

i stare at you while

the sun rises. the red

solo cup in my hand has been

empty for hours, crumbled

and stained with my lipstick. and

you have some of my lipstick too,

coloring your cheek,

your mouth, and down

your body. i knew it was

time for me to go, even though i wasn't

keen on saying goodbye yet. but the

cold is calling my name and

i belong in the wind so gone i

go, go,

goodbye.

Wow. I really liked your poem! Your use of punctuation and staccato phrases really gave it a beat despite not having a rhyme scheme. :) I want to read more.
