Her Life

It begins as a faint flutter,

Causing your heart to stop and sputter.

It tugs at the broken strings

with its restless beating wings.

Later, as a wrinkled seed

Care and attention it needs.

Soon becomes your being,

your one and only feeling.

At last on her bed,

just one more word to be said,

“What has brought us together,

This shall last forever.”

So she goes as a faint flutter,

Causing your heart to stop and sputter.

She tugs at the broken strings

with Her restless beating wings.
